American technology giant Microsoft has launched the flagship tablet Surface Pro 4 in India.
The new Surface Pro 4 sports a massive 12.3-inch PixelSense display with 2736x1824p resolution. Under the hood, it comes packed with the company's proprietary Windows 10 Pro OS, 8MP primary camera on the rear, 5MP HD snapper on the front and a high-capacity battery that lets users watch video for close to nine hours.
Surface Pro 4 will come in three 6th-Gen Intel chip variants — Core m3, Core i5 and i7, with m3 Intel HD graphics 515 and i5 Intel HD graphics 520 and i7 Intel Iris GPU, respectively. Based on the requirement, users can choose 4GB, 8GB or 16GB-RAM option for system configuration.
2013 flagship Surface Pro 3 also makes a debut in India
Besides the Surface Pro 4, the company, to everyone's surprise, launched the two-year old predecessor Surface Pro 3 in India as well.
Surface Pro 3 comes with custom configuration options. Consumer can choose between fourth-generation Intel processor — Core i3, i5, and i7 — with combination of 4GB or 16GB RAM (dual-channel LPDDR3) and 128GB, 256GB or 512GB inbuilt storage options.
Other standard specifications include Windows v8.1 Pro OS, 5.0-megapixel (front and rear-side) camera with full-HD video recording ability, a battery which can provide power for browsing web close to 9 hours, a stylus, Bluetooth V4.0 (LE) and Dolby Audio system. The tablet will also boast of a kick-stand to align the device on the table to watch movies, and users can use as detachable keyboards, multiple-coloured covers, but they have to buy these accessories separately.
Price and availability details:
The company has confirmed that the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and Surface Pro 3 will be available exclusively on Amazon India for the first six month, with prices starting from Rs 89,990 and Rs 73,990, respectively.
Microsoft is also offering accessories : Cover keyboard (Rs 12,490), Surface Pen (Rs 5,990) and Power supply unit (Rs 8,490).
