Nokia, now a part of Microsoft devices has officially released the company's new budget smartphone Lumia 530 in India.
The numerical 530 may give an impression of an upgrade over the Lumia 525, but in reality, it is a low-end device. It sports a 4.0-inch FWVGA (854x480p) LCD screen and comes packed with 512MB RAM, 4GB inbuilt storage (expandable) and a 5.0-megapixel camera with fixed focus, 480p video recording, which is less superior than the Lumia 525.
Only noteworthy upgrade in the new phone is that it boasts 1.2GHz quad-core CPU and runs on the latest Windows Phone v8.1 OS, which comes with the intuitive voice-assistant Cortana.
Like all other Lumia phones, this new device too comes in a plethora of bright hued covers like white, dark grey, bright orange and bright green colour variants. It has been made available at company's official e-store for ₹7,199 and can also be pre-booked at Snapdeal for ₹7,345.
Competition:
The new Lumia 530 will be competing with the popular Motorola Moto E, and newly introduced Asus Zenfone 4, Samsung Galaxy Star 2, ACE NXT, Micromax Unite 2, Lava Iris X1, it's own sibling- Nokia X (with forked Android OS) among others.
