After months of speculations, Microsoft finally pulled the wraps off the Lumia 650 on Monday (Feb. 15).
"Now, here at the beginning of 2016, we're excited to announce the new Lumia 650 – our latest smartphone running Windows 10," Samuli Hänninen, VP, Device Product Management, Microsoft said in a statement.
The new Microsoft budget phone, Lumia 650, boasts Aluminium-based metal frame and comes with Snapdragon 212 quad-core processor backed by 1GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory and a 2000 mAh battery which can keep the phone running for close to 26 days under standby mode.
It also houses an 8MP camera with LED flash on the rear-side and 5MP wide-angle snapper on the front.
Microsoft Lumia 650 release and price details:
The company confirmed that the Microsoft Lumia 650 will be offered in matte black and matte white colour options, and will become available in select European markets beginning Feb. 18 for USD $199 (€178/Rs 13,553).
As of now, there is no official word from Microsoft on when the company plans to release Lumia 650 in India and other markets.
