Microsoft India Reveals Price Details of Office 365, Three Office 2013 Suites

American software giant Microsoft has finally released the much-awaited cloud-based Office 365 suite along with three variants of the Office 2013 application softwares globally.

With Microsoft's cloud based Office 365, users can stream in full-featured Office applications to any internet connected Windows PC to work on Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint and others and save work Microsoft's cloud storage system SkyDrive. The Office 365 service can be availed with an annual subscription fees.

"This is a major leap forward," said Ramkumar Pichai, GM - Microsoft Office Division, Microsoft India.

He furthe said, "It's a service (Office 365) designed to help you manage the tasks of your work and home life, where you are, whenever you need, online or offline. Also, it's a perfect fit for busy families and individuals who can connect multiple devices with a single subscription,"

The Redmond-based company also released three Office 2013 variants namely, Office Home & Student 2013, Office Home & Business 2013 and Office Professional 2013, which can be purchased at any software retail shops for a onetime payment.

Microsoft also released the 'Office 365 University' for college students and faculty at a price of $79.99 (₹4, 257/-) for a four-year premium subscription.

The major advantage of Office 365's service is that the suite will automatically get updated whenever the system is connected to the internet just like a routine anti-virus up-gradation. This saves the user money and time to buy new software for each upgrade release.

Microsoft has revealed that the Office 365 for business will be released globally with new capabilities on Feb 27.
