American technology giants, Microsoft and HP have jointly launched the Omni 10 Tablet PC with exclusive Pearson educational contents for student pursuing higher education.
"Engineered to assist students with their hectic work schedules, this tablet provides powerful performance for multitasking, making presentations, playing games and music. A carry cover for the HP Omni 10 tablet will also be provided in the offer," PTI quoted Microsoft India Head (Public Sector and Education) Arun Rajamani.
Special Pearson education package comes with interactive e-learning contents including theory papers of first semester engineering and MBA courses, interactive multi-media contents, flash cards and video cases (for MBA students).This limited edition HP tablet with 'Institute offer' lasts only till 15 June. Apart from learning material, students will have life time free support for Microsoft Office 2013 series - Home and Student edition.
In terms of hardware, the new HP Omni tablet PC sports 10.1-inch full HD (1920x1200p) display with Corning Gorilla 3 protection and runs on the latest Windows 8.1 OS powered by Intel Atom Z3770 series CPU, 2GB RAM, 32GB eMMC (expandable), 8.0-megapixel main camera, a 2.0-megapixel snapper on front and battery which can provide back-up for close to 8.5 hours.
The new HP Omni is officially priced ₹29,990 (MRP) and can also be purchased for almost ₹2500 less at online store Flipkart for ₹27,490.
