The wait is finally over for Micromax Yu Yureka users with Cyanogen OS CM12 (Android 5.0.2 Lollipop) OTA (over-the-air) update has being rolled out to the device.
"Just 2 days back we submitted the certification for Lollipop and the good news is that it's signed and sealed. The roll out begins NOW," wrote Yureka community manager, Rahul S.
He went on to say that the new software comes with features like theming options, CyanogenMail, Exchange support, and multiple account integration, adding that "every element of visual, motion and interaction design is flawless."
"Our Lollipop ("L") update is rolling out to Yureka owners today. Treat yourselves to OS 12," Cyanogen also posted on Google Plus Thursday.
However, Micromax Yu Yureka owners may have to wait for a few days to get the Cyanogen OS CM12 (Android 5.0.2 Lollipop) update as it will be rolled out in phases and could take up to three days. It was originally slated for release in the first week of April but was delayed citing further testing.
"Patience is bitter but the fruit is sweet! Community beta testers taking a while to sugarcoat lollipop," YU had Twitted.
How to Install Cyanogen OS CM12 (Android 5.0.2 Lollipop) via OTA on Micromax Yu Yureka:
Micromax Yu Yureka smartphone users should ideally receive Cyanogen OS CM12 update notification when it is rolled out in their region. Select "Yes, I'm in" option to download the files and select >> "Install Now." Your device will automatically restart once the installation is done and the firmware will start running.
Users of the devices can also check the availability of Android 5.0.2 Lollipop manually by going to – 'Settings' >> 'About phone' >> 'System update' >> 'Check' for update.
