Micromax YU Yureka Flash Sale 3.0 to go Live on Amazon India on 29 January [Update]

Home-grown smartphone maker Micromax is all set to host the third edition of the YU Yureka flash sale on 29 January.

The company's e-commerce affiliate Amazon India has confirmed that the flash sale will kick-off at 2pm. However, there is no official word on how many units will be up for grabs on Thursday.

Last week, the flash sale got finished in a jiffy. It only took less than five seconds for all 15,000 units to get sold out. The process was also marred by technical glitches resulting in over-pricing of the YU Yureka to ₹12,499, which is ₹3,500 extra on MRP ₹8,999. Some registered users were unable to buy the phone as their mode of payment got declined.

The 22 January's flawed flash sale did not go down well with the fans. Many took to Twitter to pan the company of not doing enough in improving the user experience and also asked Micromax to increase the inventory capacity of the upcoming flash sale.

On Wednesday, 28 January, Amazon India, in its bid to salvage the negative publicity in the media, conducted a special flash sale for those aggrieved consumers and select contest winners.
