Home-bred smartphone maker, Micromax launched the new budget handset dubbed as the Canvas 5 Lite in India on September 24.
The new Micromax Canvas 5 Lite flaunts faux leather cover on the back with metal frame around the corners.
On the front, it sports a 5.0-inch HD IPS screen with 1280x720p resolutions. Under the hood, it comes packed with MediaTek quad-core 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, an 8MP primary camera, a 5MP snapper on the front and a 2,000mAh battery, which can keep the phone running for close to 150 hours under standby mode.
The new Canvas 5 Lite is available exclusively on Snapdeal for Rs. 6,499. The company has also unveiled a special edition model with Maple wood finish cover on the back and 3GB RAM. It can be grabbed for 7,999 on the same aforementioned e-commerce site.
Competition:
The new Micromax Canvas 5 Lite series will be up against the popular brands such as Xiaomi Redmi 3S series, Moto G4 Play, Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus and newly released Moto E3 Power, among others.
