Micromax Launches A88 Canvas Music Smartphone with Free JBL Tempo Headset for ₹8,499

Indian smartphone maker Micromax on Wednesday launched the music-centric smartphone, A88 Canvas Music, for ₹8,499.

During the launch, Micromax, Country Head smartphone, Ajay Sharma said, "At Micromax, we are continuously channelizing our energies to innovate finest devices that are relevant to our customers. Application serves as a perfect offering to the youth echoing our vision of providing a fulfilling entertainment experience to all the music and multimedia lovers. Through our latest device, we aim to further build the Canvas success story to unprecedented heights."

Micromax A88 Canvas Music sports a 4.5-inch display panel with 854x480p resolution and runs on the Android mobile OS v4.1.1 Jelly Bean OS powered by 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek processor. It packs 512MB RAM and 4GB memory which can be further expanded up to 32GB through a microSD card.  

The company has confirmed that the new Canvas Music phone will be available in black and white colour variants at all major retail stores across the country from Thursday, 16 May, for ₹8,499 with a free JBL Tempo headset. Buyers can also purchase the smartphone online at the company's official website as well.

Earlier this week, Micromax had launched a mid-range 5.3-inch phablet called A111 Canvas Doodle for ₹12,999.
