Indian smartphone maker Micromax is reportedly planning to launch a new phablet, Canvas Play, in India soon.
The company has listed the yet-to-be-released handset on its official website, hinting the smartphone will soon make its way to the stores.
The new Micromax Canvas Play sports a 5.5-inch FWGA display and ships with the Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
Under-the-hood, it comes packed with 1.3GHz Mediatek quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB in-built memory, and 2820 mAh battery that is capable of running the device for close to 273 hours under standby mode.
The handset houses a 5mp camera on the rear side and a 0.3mp (VGA) snapper on the front.
Expected Price of Micromax Canvas Play:
As of now, there is no word on how much the Canvas Play costs, but going by the specification list of the device, it is expected to be priced under ₹8,000.
Competition:
Once released, Canvas Play will compete with Microsoft Lumia 535, Asus Zenfone 5, Karbonn Titanium S2 Plus, Nokia XL, and its sibling Canvas Doodle 3.
