Micromax Funbook P255: 7.0-Inch Budget Tablet Available at Online Stores

Popular indigenous technology firm Micromax has reportedly released a budget tablet, Funbook P255, at online stores in India.

The new device sports a 7.0-inch WVGA display having 480x800p resolution and runs on 1.2GHz Cortex-A8 processor. The tablet is backed by a 2600 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery is expected to give upto 150 hours of backup on standby mode and close to 4.5 hours of internet browsing time in a single charge.

The Funbook tablet ships with Android v4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich OS with 512MB RAM and 4GB inbuilt memory out-of-the-box. Users can expand memory up to 32GB via microSD card. Other mentionable specifications include 2.0-megapixel camera on the rear side with video recording ability and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) camera on the front side.

The new tablet is now available at multiple online shops with prices ranging between ₹4,499 and ₹4,999.

Earlier this week, Micromax released a couple of budget smartphones, Bolt A40 and Canvas Fun A63, in the market for ₹5,799 and ₹6,799, respectively.
