Indian smartphone manufacturer Micromax has proved its mettle once again with the launch of its new MAd A94 smartphone, which will reward the users for watching advertisements on the phone.
The Mad A94 is the first smartphone from Micromax to come with Micromax Advertising Application (Mad), which will help the users to get pecuniary benefits. The users can earn points by watching advertisements on phone with the help of Mad app and those points will be converted into cash, which will be transferred into their postpaid /prepaid accounts across all telecom operators.
The smartphone which has already made its way to the retail stores in India is priced at ₹8,490 and sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) IPS display. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Broadcom processor couple with 512MB of RAM. On the connectivity front, the device supports 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi and comes with 1800mAh battery, which claims to deliver up to 5 hours of talktime and 150 hours of standby time. It houses 4GB internal storage which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card and 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera with flash along with a 5-megapixel autofocus front-facing camera. Other features of the handset include G-sensor, proximity sensor, and light sensor.
The phone will compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S Duos and Karbonn A30 win the sub continent market.
