Indigenous smartphone maker Micromax unveiled a new budget 4G handset dubbed the Canvas XP in India on Monday.
The new Micromax Canvas XP sports a 5.0-inch HD display and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, 1.0GHz MediaTek quad-core SoC (System-on-Chip). It features 3GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory and 2000mAh battery, which can keep the phone running for close to 182 hours under standby mode.
It also boasts 8MP primary camera on the rear and a 2MP snapper on the front.

The company has confirmed the Micromax Canvas XP will be released exclusively on Snapdeal (HERE) for Rs. 7,499 from today onwards. It will be available in Moondust Grey colour option.
Competition:
Considering the Canvas XP's price and specification, it will be up against the popular Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime, Lenovo K5 Plus and Coolpad Note 3 Lite, among others.
Earlier in the month, Micromax launched a budget phablet Canvas Mega 2. It sports a mammoth 6.0-inch display and comes with 3,000mAh battery.
