The much anticipated mini variant of the Micromax flagship phone Canvas Turbo has finally been made public through online platforms.
Micromax's official website has listed the Canvas Turbo Mini A200 in its smartphone portfolio. The new phone sports 4.7-inch IPS HD (1280x720p) display and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM and 4GB inbuilt storage (expandable up to 32GB).
Other stipulated features include an 8.0-megapixel main camera (with auto-focus and flash support), 5.0-megapixel camera and an 1800 mAh battery capable of providing back up for 6.5 hours of talk time and 180 hours under standby mode.
E-retailer Flipkart has revealed that the Canvas Turbo Mini A200 would cost ₹14,490, but the sales are yet to begin. [update: now the sale of the device has commenced]
Once released, it will be competing with handsets of top MNC brands such as Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro, Galaxy Core, Sony Xperia L, Nokia Lumia 720, Lumia 625 and local players like Xolo Play, Q1000S. It might even cannibalize sales of its own siblings Canvas HD A116 and Canvas 4 as they both fall in the same price bracket.
