Indigenous smartphone maker Micromax has finally launched the much anticipated flagship model Canvas Turbo A250 in India.
Speaking at the launch, Micromax Co-founder Rahul Sharma said, "At Micromax, our focus has always been to keep innovating to democratize technology for masses by offering seamless experience through a combination of great hardware and enhanced software capabilities. The new Canvas Turbo, pegged as the successor of Canvas 4, features an anodised aluminium body which is said to double as an antenna to boost signal reception. It sports a 5.0-inch IPS full HD (1920x1080p) display with CGS (Continuous Grain Silicon) technology.
The device packs 1.5GHz MediaTek quad-core processor backed by 2GB RAM, 16GB built-in memory (non-expandable) and 2000 mAh battery which can run the smartphone under standby mode for 105 hours.
Other specifications include a 13.0-megapixel main camera and a 5.0-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone features smart gesture controls wherein the user can simply flip the phone upside down to activate the silent mode or raise the the phone to the ear to answer it.
To assist users in multitasking, Canvas Turbo features ifloat to enable easy access to applications and other new apps include Hike (for instant messaging), BBM (BlackBerry Messenger),Spuul, Game Hub, Kingsoft Office, M!Security (for anri-theft and anti-virus protection) and more.
The company has confirmed that Canvas Turbo will come in white and blue variants and be made available at retail outlets across India from 26 October for ₹19,990. Prospective buyers can place orders at Micromax Official website.
Online retailer Saholic will reportedly sell the new Canvas Turbo from 31 October.
