Indigenous smartphone-maker Micromax on Tuesday, 21 April, officially unveiled the much-anticipated Canvas Spark in India.
The new Canvas Spark sports a 4.7-inch screen and runs on the 1.3GHz Mediatek quad-core CPU-backed by Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory and a 2,000mAh battery.
On the photography front, Micromax's new phone comes packed with 8mp camera on the rear and a decent 2mp snapper on the front.

The company has reportedly confirmed that the new Canvas Spark will be made available exclusively on Snapdeal for ₹4,999 on 29 April. Prospective buyers are advised to get registered on 22 April at 2pm afternoon to become eligible to participate in the flash sale next week.
Competition:
With a sub-₹5,000 price tag, Canvas Spark is poised to give stiff challenge to the popular MNC brands, Xiaomi's Redmi 2, Motorola's Moto E (2 Gen), Lenovo's A6000 Plus and domestic rival Karbonn Mobiles' Alfa A120.
