After a week of speculation, the rumored high-capacity battery based smartphone Micromax Canvas Power A96 has been officially launched in India.
As the name suggests, Micromax's Canvas Power A96 boasts a remarkable 4000 mAh battery capable of running the device for up to 450 hours under standby time and 5.5 hours of talk time in a single charge.
Other stipulated specifications of device include 5.0-inch FWVGA (480x854p) TFT screen, 1.3-GHz quad-core CPU, 512MB RAM, 4GB (expandable up to 32GB), 5.0-megapixel (with flash support) on the rear side.
As of now, the Micromax smartphone is only available at the company's official e-store for ₹9,900.
The company is also rumored to launch Canvas Duet 2 EG-111, a CDMA based dual-SIM smartphone this weekend. This will be the second such device, after Micromax released a co-branded MTS Canvas Blaze in December.
Canvas Duet reportedly sports a 5.27-inch HD IPS display and run on Android v4.1 Jelly Bean powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU with1GB RAM and 4GB inbuilt storage. It also said to house an 8.0-megapixel primary camera, 2.0-megapixel front camera and 2300 mAh battery.
