Popular indigenous smartphone maker, Micromax has reportedly launched a new budget handset Canvas Juice A117 via online store.
The new Canvas Juice sports a FWVGA screen with 480x854p resolution and runs on the Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean powered by a 1.2GHz MediaTek dual-core processor with 1GB RAM and 4GB inbuilt memory with an option of expansion up to 32GB via microSD card.
Other stipulated features include 5.0-megapixel camera, 0.3-megapixel (VGA) snapper on the front and a high-capacity 3000 mAh battery, which can provide back up for 10 hours of talk time and close to 282 hours under standby mode.
The phone is listed at the official Micromax website and also been put up for sale at online store eBay India for ₹8,490.
Going by the specifications, Canvas Juice A117 is pretty much identical to its previous variant Canvas Juice A77, which was launched back in November, raising doubts whether it is a trick to sell the old stocks. Micromax had done similar marketing excercise with the 'Canvas A116i' launch in late 2013, which had no anatomical difference with the 'Canvas A116' in terms of their exterior texture and internal hardware.
