Indigenous smartphone-maker Micromax launched the new budget phablet Canvas Evok in India on Monday.
The new Canvas Evok sports a 5.5-inch HD 2.5D glass screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 shield. Under the hood, it comes packed with Qualcomm's 64-bit class Snapdragon 415 octa-core processor backed by sumptuous 3GB RAM and 16GB storage, which can be expanded via micro SD card.
Micromax's new phone also houses a 13MP primary camera on the back with dual-LED flash and a wide-angle lens-based 5MP front-snapper.
Micromax Canvas Evok price and availability:
The company has confirmed the new Canvas Evok will be available exclusively on Flipkart for Rs. 8,499 from Tuesday. It will be made available in only the black colour option.
Competition:
Micromax Canvas Evok will be up against the popular Lenovo K5 Plus, Coolpad Note 3 (and Lite variant), Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and LeEco Le 1s series, among others.
Micromax's flagship Canvas 6 hit the stores in India last week. It sports a premium all-metal body and also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back, providing an additional layer of security to protect data on the phone.
