Leading indigenous smartphone maker Micromax has launched a mid-range phablet, dubbed as EG111 aka Canvas Duet 2, in India.
Micromax EG111 sports a 5.3-inch HD (1280x720p) display and ships with Android v4.1 Jelly Bean OS, powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 series Cortex A5 quad-core CPU, paired with 1GB RAM and 4GB inbuilt memory.
Other stipulated features include 8-megapixel camera (with LED flash, 4X digital zoom), a front camera for video chat, a 2300 mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, it boasts Dual-SIM (GSM+CDMA), 3G network support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), GPRS/EDGE and Google Maps for navigation.
The new Micromax phone has been made available at online store Flipkart for ₹15,790 (price is subject to change with time). It is to be noted that Canvas EG111 is the second CDMA-based smartphone to come out of the company, after the launch of Canvas Blaze MT500 in December 2013.
Earlier in the week, Micromax had launched a budget smartphone Canvas Power A96 for just under ₹10,000.
