Micromax is yet to announce the Canvas Doodle 2 smartphone for the Indian market but the smartphone has been listed on several online retail websites, hinting the imminent launch of the handset.
The smartphone is spotted online just a day after Micromax teased it on its official Facebook page.
The device first spotted by AndroidOS made its appearance on Snapdeal with a price tag of ₹19,900. The specifications listed on the website connect well with the previous leaks about the handset. However, it is not sure whether Micromax will launch its Canvas Doodle 2 smartphone for the price revealed on e-retails.
Canvas Doodle 2 A240, a rival to tech titan Samsung's Galaxy Mega 5.8 smartphone is expected to sport a 5.7-inch screen with 720 pixel resolutions and powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor. Other features include 1GB RAM, 16GB of expandable internal storage, 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5-megapixel secondary camera, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and 2,600mAh battery.
The phone may come with support for vertical panorama in camera app, video pinning to home-screen support, Flip to mute, and Smart Pause. Even though the price listed by the e-retailer is pretty less than Samsung's Galaxy Mega 5.8, the cost is slightly more than expected.
The company, which teased the smartphone earlier, has not revealed the specifications. It posted a hand-drawn image with the smartphone model name followed by a tagline that read 'can your imagination get bigger?'. A line down read "Draw, Depict or Doodle and let your thoughts come to life on a bigger Canvas. Canvas Doodle 2 - Coming Soon!"
