The recently released image also indicated the same, but sadly there is no mention of how the feature is put to use. The image shows the iconic iPhone unlock bar and carried a caption "CAN unlock without touch?" There is also a text which stated: 'Don't'. The company will start accepting pre-booking orders for Canvas 4 from 28 June.
On the specifications front, Canvas 4 is rumoured to sport a 5.5-inch 1080p display powered by a 2GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor along with PowerVR Series 5XT graphics. It is also speculated to pack 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be further expanded through a microSD card slot.
The device may arrive with dual-SIM card slots, 3G, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and USB 2.0 ports. It is also expected to host a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, a 3.2-megapixel front-facing camera, 3,000mAh battery and the ubiquitous Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The add-ons for the image snapper would be autofocus, face and smile detection and image stabilization. The front part of the handset would come with a polycarbonate plastic and its back in aluminium. The smartphone is likely to be priced ₹15,990 and is expected for a release in the coming days.
