The pre-order window for the recently launched Micromax Canvas 4 smartphone has been closed and the device is now on sale in many retail outlets for a whopping price.
Launched in the first week of July, the Canvas 4 smartphone was up for pre-orders at many online retailers like Snapdeal and Saholic. The device now costs higher than the official price at many stores.
Online retailer Tradus is now offering the smartphone for a price ranging from ₹19.799 to ₹21,399. Other websites like eBay and Snapdeal have also listed the smartphone for a higher price. The official price of the smartphone is ₹17,999.
Some reports suggest that e-retailers have complained about the unavailability of the device due to higher demand. Micromax also witnessed the same for its first quad-core smartphone, A116 Canvas HD, when it was launched in the market.
The company had goofed up on Canvas 4 pre-bookings, by apparently listing out the order receipts, billing and address details of all its Canvas 4 buyers on the confirmations letters sent to customers. Also shipments were delayed, as in the case of the older Canvas HD smartphone.
