The much-anticipated Micromax Canvas 4 smartphone is all set to make its grand debut in Delhi on 8 July. Micromax fans staying in other parts of the country need not be disheartened to miss the unveiling as the company will be streaming live coverage of the event online.

The launch of Micromax's next-generation Canvas 4 smartphone has been garnering a lot of media attention ever since the company began the flashy teaser ad campaigns during the India-Pakistan match in the recently concluded ICC Champions Trophy. But in the past week, Canvas 4 rumours reached its crescendo when a number of tech blogs reported that the phone would pack sub-par specs. Some even went on to say that the Canvas 4 would be a rebranded model of Chinese OEM (original Equipment Manufacturer) made BLU Life One.
Despite negative rumours, Micromax fans have shown lot of interest in Canvas 4. The company reportedly received thousands of pre-booking orders. In fact, it had registered more than 4081 pre-bookings for 'Canvas 4' within seven hours on the opening day (28 June). It's a commendable number considering the fact that the company is levying ₹5,000 as advance amount without revealing the specifications and the final price.
