A week after Indian smartphone maker Micromax teased its next-generation Canvas 4 A117 online, rumour mills were in full swing about the speculated features of the upcoming smartphone. Now, an image showing a white Canvas variant appeared online.
Gizbot posted the first purported image of the Canvas 4 smartphone citing @MMXNewscaster as its source. The image also showed the smartphone without the Home button and shows a slight similarity with Apple's iPhone 5. But on a bigger scale, the design language seems to be influenced from Samsung Galaxy S4.
According to the report, the smartphone is likely to make its debut by next week. It is expected to come in black and white variants and its front body would be encased in a polycarbonate plastic and the back in aluminium. The Canvas 4 has already made its appearance on retailer website Saholic and its pre-orders will begin from 28 June.
On the specifications front, the smartphone is expected to come with a 5.0-inch TFT LCD screen powered by a1.7GHz quad-core processor. And run on Android mobile OS v4.2 Jelly Bean. Other stipulated specifications include 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 64GB through a microSD card, 13.0-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone is speculated to fall in the ₹20,000 price bracket.
