Micromax seems to be readying a new smartphone to expand its Bolt series in India. The smartphone, dubbed Bolt A66, has surfaced online with specifications and price, hinting its imminent arrival in the domestic market.
Micromax news leakster @MMXNewscaster, in a tweet first spotted by BGR.in, claims Micormax's next smartphone Bolt A66 would come with a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, powered by a 1GHz single-core processor with 512MB of RAM. The handset is likely to host 165 MB of internal storage, a 2 megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel VGA front camera. Other speculated features include 1,500mAh battery and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system. @MMXNewscaster also tweeted that the smartphone would carry a price tag of ₹5,999. However, there is no information about the availability of the device.
Earlier last week, Micromax's budget Android smartphones Bolt A28 and Bolt A59 made their online debut with price tags of ₹3,674 and ₹4,542 respectively. Micromax Bolt A59 comes with features like a 3.5-inch display with 320x480 pixels resolution, 1GHz Spreadtrum SC7710 processor, 256MB of RAM, a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, a VGA front-facing camera and 1500mAh battery.
On the other hand, Micromax Bolt A28 sports a 3.5-inch TFT display with 320×480 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A5 processor, coupled with a Mali 300 GPU. Other features include two 0.3-megapixel cameras, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and 1,500mAh battery.
