The human race is way too slow to compete with the legendary swimmer Michael Phelps, it seems. Even though the 31-year-old American has retired from the sport, it seems no active swimmer even can match up with his indeed.
Hence, a white shark comes to the rescue.
Often referred to be a fish himself, Phelps will be trying out his luck in a race with the big fish. No, we ain't joking! This one-off thing will be a part of Discovery Channel's 'Shark Week' programs.
According to Michael Phelps' wife Nicole's Instagram page, the race might have already taken place but the details aren't out.
We don't quite know what happened during the race -- whether it was a 100 metre dash or a possible medley. One thing is for sure, the shark didn't quite eat up Phelps midway. What we do know is that the race is scheduled for a TV broadcast on July 23 at 8 pm EST.
