Konami has announced that Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain received a new patch that has brought back Quiet, the trusty companion in the game.
The patch 1.06 went live on 10 November and brings loads of fixes and changes. The patch went live on all the platforms. It weighs 670MB.
This also brings Quiet back to the game. The discovery was made by Reddit user Brotigan, who check the game's code to have it confirmed.
"Load up the seventh mission of the game, Cloaked in Silence, and beat it seven times. Once you've done that, the game's mission screen switches from [REPLAY] to [REUNION]. Then, finish the mission again and you'll be able to have Quiet as part of the lineup," Kotaku reported.
Quiet would no longer accompany the players in the missions when she leaves the Mother Base, but this has changed now.
The update brings new features, fixed the save data corruption bug that affected PS4 users. It also brings a new look to the PF Rating screen, new level of gear with Grade 8, new Online Development Items, new security devices, Anti-Reflex Research has been added, FOB infiltrations has to tackle a new Stealth Mode, third FOB will now get a huge boost.
Other update details:
- The top rankings for PF Rating and Espionage Rating will now be displayed.
- Until now, only resources in your offline inventory could be sold, from now on your online inventory can also be sold.
- The issue with certain DLC uniform equipment not having its advertised effect is now fixed.
- In-game notifications of events and other news have been improved.
