Home bred smartphone maker Micromax launched the company's new flagship handset Canvas 5 in India on Wednesday, 4 November.
The new Micromax Canvas 5 is the successor of Canvas 4, which was released way back in July 2013. It comes with huge upgrade over its predecessor in terms of design and internal hardware.
Canvas 5 flaunts metal frame around the bezel to give it a premium touch. It also provides a firm grip for the hands and a sturdy structure capable of withstanding accidental drop on a hard surface.
Under the house, it comes packed with powerful 64-bit 1.5GHz MediaTek Octa-core SoC (System on Chip), backed by sumptuous 3GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory and a 2900 mAh battery, which can run the phone for close to 514 hours under standby mode.
It also boasts feature rich 13MP camera with Samsung 3M2 image sensor, dual-Led flash, PDAF (Phase Detection AutoFocus) and a 5MP wide-angle snapper on the front.
Micromax Canvas 5 release and price details:
