Taiwanese smartphone maker on Tuesday unveiled the much-anticipated 2014 flagship smartphone, HTC One M8 at glitzy events simultaneously held at London and New York City.
The all new HTC One boasts metallic (90-percent) finish uni-body with a stunning 5.0-inch full HD (1920x1080p) Super LCD 3 screen having a pixel density of 440 ppi (pixels per inch) and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 shield.
Under the hood, it ships with the latest Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS with new HTC Sense v6.0 UI, 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB/32GB inbuilt storage (expandable up 128GB) and 2600 mAh Li-Polymer battery which can provide backup for up to 14 hours of talk-time and close 271 hours under standby mode.
The main USP of HTC One M8 is that it houses dual-camera on the rear-side having UltraPixel technology with 2592x1944p image resolution, dual-color LED flash (True Tone), 1/3'' sensor size, 2µm pixel size, automatic simultaneous video and image recording, geo-tagging, face and smile detection, HDR, panorama and on the front, it packs a 5.0-megapixel camera for video chat and also take quality selfie for the user to share it on various social network sites.
HTC One (M8) will be made available at in-store U.S. and Canadian markets in the first few weeks of April, and by April 10, users can also buy it online at 1PM ET today online direct from AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, Rogers, Bell and Telus in North America.
Another USA based carrier, Verizon will also have them in-store exclusively as of 1 PM ET today. Pricing in Canada is around $229 (₹13,800) on a two-year agreement, or $700 (₹42,200) outright, with American carriers offering it at around $649 (₹39,130) without agreement or $199(₹12,000) with new two-year contracts, reported TechCrunch.
The new HTC flagship phone will also expected to hit Indian market next month, reported Times of India.
