The viewers of Zee TV's "Meri Saasu Maa" will soon witness a dramatic twist in the storyline with the untimely death of Sattu (played by Pearl V Puri). According to reports, the makers and the production house have decided to introduce an interesting track after the death of the lead character Sattu. In fact, the hunt for a new actor opposite lead actress Hiba Nawab (Pari) is currently going on.
"The search for the new male lead of Meri Saasu Maa is presently on. Sattu's death will be telecast by this weekend, and this will give rise to huge drama. Post Sattu's death, a new guy will be roped in," a souce told Tellychakkar.com.
While this piece of news will surely shock the fans of Pearl, if the report is to be believed then Hiba and Pearl's proximity on the sets and their unprofessional behaviour was apparently the reason why the makers decided to end the actors' track. Since the show revolves around Hiba's character, the makers decided to retain her while replacing Pearl with another actor.
"Pearl and his co-actor Hiba Nawab's closeness on the sets has indeed been a huge problem to handle. Their unprofessionalism, too cozy an attitude, cuddling, conversing in sign languages, flying kisses all over the place, have given rise to problems in plenty," the source added.
Confirming his exit from the show, Pearl said: "Yes it is true that Sattu is dying. But it is also a fact that his body will not be shown. This was a story demand and you never know I might make a comeback."
A few months ago, "Meri Saasu Maa" made headlines when actresses Hiba and Aanchal Khurana had a major fight on the sets. It all started after rumours surfaced in the media that Pearl and Hiba were involved in a lot of public display of affection on the sets.
Although the makers had rubbished the report then, Aanchal, who plays a negative role in the show, confirmed about Hiba and Pearl's closeness. Aanchal's statement didn't go down well with Hiba, who reportedly hurled abuses at the former on the sets. Pearl also joined in the argument between the ladies.
