Bollywood has not witnessed any big release after Badrinath Ki Dulhania. However, fewer movies were released due to Baahubali (Bahubali) 2. Interestingly, this Friday, there will be two movies – Meri Pyaari Bindu and Sarkar 3 – that will compete at the box office.
Looking at the advance booking situation, both the movies have a decent result. However, Meri Pyaari (Pyari) Bindu tickets are sold out more than Sarkar (Sarkaar) 3. Meri Pyaari Bindu features Parineeti Chopra and Ayushmann Khurrana, while Sarkar 3 has Amitabh Bachchan, Manoj Bajpayee, Jackie Shroff, Yami Gautam and Amit Sadh.
Both the films are of different genre and have different audiences. Thus, the box office prediction for Meri Pyaari Bindu is around Rs. 2-3 crore on its opening day, while Sarkar 3 might open to Rs. 3-5 crore.
However, the opening collections of both the films will be affected due to Baahubali 2. The fever of Rajamouli's film is still going on and at this time, these two movies might face a huge loss.
Sarkar 3's box office prediction is higher than Meri Pyaari Bindu because the former movie is in hype – thanks to director Ram Gopal Varma. He has not failed to grab attention with his Twitter interactions. It looks like the filmmaker grabbed attention intentionally as he knew that his movie will be releasing after Baahubali 2. Also, it has amazing actors in it.
On the other hand, Meri Pyaari Bindu is bringing a fresh pair of Parineeti and Ayushmann onscreen. They will show their singing talents in the movie. As of now, the actors have already won hearts with their melodious voices as they performed live concerts to promote their movie. Also, it is sort of Parineeti's comeback movie in Bollywood.
According to trade experts, the movies will have average earnings. Trade analyst Akshaye Rathi told Bollywood Life: "All the three films are very different from each other in terms of the audience they cater to and that kind of helps. Meri Pyaari Bindu is a very niche, urban, multiplex film that is going to release in 700-800 national multiplex chains. Sarkar 3, on the other hand, is a mass film which will rule the single screens."
