Bollywood has not been releasing movies for a few weeks now due to Baahubali (Bahubali) 2, but the makers of Meri Pyaari Bindu and Sarkar 3 took the risk. The two movies did not impress viewers, and neither do their box office numbers.
Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra's Meri Pyaari Bindu was a simple rom-com, while Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Sarkar 3 brought another failure for director Ram Gopal Varma.
Sarkar 3 collected Rs. 2.50 crore and Rs. 3.25 crore at the domestic box office on Friday and Saturday, respectively, and its 2-day total collection stands at Rs. 5.75 crore. Meri Pyaari Bindu collected Rs. 1.75 crore and Rs. 2.25 crore at the domestic box office on Friday and Saturday, respectively, and its 2-day total collection stands at Rs. 4 crore net.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has revealed the third day's collection of Meri Pyaari Bindu to be Rs 2.50 crore. Though it showed a slight rise in numbers, the performance is not enough to make the film rule at the box office.

On the other hand, Sarkar 3 also showed some growth and has collected Rs 2.40 crore on its third day. Overall, the first weekend of both the movies witnessed a little rise in numbers, but it won't be able to stay afloat as the upcoming release is Half Girlfriend.
#Sarkar3 Fri ₹ 2.10 cr, Sat 2.25 cr, Sun 2.40 cr. Total: ₹ 6.75 cr. India biz.

Shraddha Kapoor-Arjun Kapoor's Half Girlfriend has gained a lot of hype and people are waiting to watch the movie. It is based on Chetan Bhagat's book of the same name and the film is helmed by Aashiqui 2 director Mohit Suri.
