The news of "Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi" going off-air has been around for quite a while, courtesy their dipping TRP ratings. This time around it appears that the makers are finally ready to pull the plug on the show.
According to India-Forums, the once-hit TV serial will air its last episode on 26 February. Replacing "MATSH" will be Balaji Telefilms' new show "Kasam", which reportedly revolves around one Canada-return rich and upscale Bedi family.
"Balaji Telefilms' upcoming show on Colors will be based on Punjabi backdrop. The story will revolve around the filthy rich 'Canada return' Bedi family. Their elder son falls in love with a girl but soon tragedy strikes his love life, which makes him lose faith in love," a source informed the web portal.
Shakti Arora, who plays Ranveer in "MATSH", had rubbished the rumours of the show coming to an end a few months ago. Talking to BollywoodLife, the TV star said the cast hadn't heard any official news from the channel, adding that they had shot for sequences which viewers had been longing for.
"We are shooting some truly intense romantic sequences that people love to see from Ranveer and Ishaani. My character will be shown working hard to unravel the truth behind Ishaani (Radhika Madan) and Nirbhay's (Mohit Abrol) relationship. A big twist is coming, and lots of romance as well," he further elaborated.
The upcoming episodes, or the closing episodes, will see Ishani (Radhika Madan) run towards a jungle, tired of missing Ranveer. The lovers will meet and have their moments, but the repercussions of them interacting are reportedly going to be grave.
