"Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi" actor Arjun S Bijlani, who essays the role of Shikhar, has reportedly been roped in to star opposite Mouni Roy in "Naagin".
Although the actor confirmed he hasn't been approached, a The Times of India report suggests he has left behind Mrunal Jain of the "Uttaran" fame, "Satrangi Sasural" of Ravish Desai, Kinshuk Mahajan of "Tum Aise Hi Rehna" and Vipul Gupta of "Meri Bhabhi" in the race to bag the opportunity.
"While Mrunal seemed a favourite and the strongest among the contenders for the role, Arjun's name was decided upon at the last minute. He will manage both the shows," an insider informed the leading daily.
If Arjun were to be finalised for the role, it would work in the show's favour as the actor has become quite popular because of his charming performance in "MATSH".
Additionally, Adaa Khan and "Balika Vadhu" actor Vimarsh Roshan has reportedly been roped in for Ekta Kapoor's magnum opus.
According to a Tellychakkar report, Mouni will marry the male lead of the show (which could be Arjun) to enter the family. The shooting is expected to commence soon and the show will be aired by the end of September.
