German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz has brought its third AMG model - ML 63 AMG - to India, with a price tag of ₹1.49 crores (ex-showroom Delhi).
The launch of the new MAG offering also marked the inauguration of the company's AMG Performance Centre in Delhi. The ML 63 AMG, a stylish and powerful SUV from Mercedes-Benz, draws its power from a 5.5 litre V8 Bi-Turbo engine, which can churn out a power of 525 hp and a peak torque of 700 Nm. It comes mated with an AMG Speedshift 7G-Tronic automatic transmission, which can attain 0 to 100 kmph in 4.8 seconds and offers a top speed of 250 kmph.
The car houses features like climate control, cruise control, fully powered electric front seats and rushed stainless steel pedals. The vehicle is offered only in one variant and is pitted against the Range Rover Sport in the subcontinent market. The company offers its standard warranty of three years for the car.
Recently, Mercedes-Benz launched had its 2014 GL 63 AMG in India at ₹1.66 crore (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.5-litre V8 petrol engine, which can generate 565 PS of power and 760 Nm of torque, the GL 63 AMG comes with the standard three-year warranty, without mileage limitations and can accelerate 0-100kmph in only 5.5 seconds. The vehicle is capable of attaining a top speed of 250 kmph and comes with three driving modes - comfort, manual and sport. The GL 63 AMG is brought to India via the CBU (Completely Built-up Unit) route.
Mercedes-Benz's current AMG lineup in India include C 63 AMG, E 63 AMG, G 63 AMG, GL 63 AMG, SLS AMG and ML 63 AMG. The company is also selling A Class, B Class, sedans C Class, E Class, S Class, besides the locally made S Class E-Class, C-Class, GL-Class and the M-Class models.
