Mercedes-Benz India has teased an image of its iconic off-roader vehicle, the G-Class. The silhouette of the vehicle in the image clearly shows it is a G-Glass. But, interestingly, G-Class is already on sale in India. The tweet from the company says, "On my way to shake every ground. Brace yourself."

While there is no additional information on the upcoming mysterious G-Class model in India, it needs to be noted that the company had launched special edition G-Class models for the global markets last month. Multiple reports claim that the teaser hints at the launch of special editions in India.
The two special editions of the G-class for global markets are christened as designo manufaktur Edition and the Exclusive Edition. Designo manufaktur Edition is available with the G-Class' G 350 d and G 500 trims while Exclusive Edition is available in G63 and G65 guises. Since the G-Class is sold in G63 trim in India, the special edition for India is expected to be the Exclusive Edition.

The Exclusive Edition G 63 has been priced at for an eye-watering €163,125 in Europe. This special edition boasts of model-specific underguard of stainless steel, AMG sport strips on the sides, rub strip inserts in a dark aluminium look and the spare wheel cover painted in the vehicle colour. The Exclusive Edition G 63 is shod with 5‑twin-spoke light-alloy wheels painted in matt black with high-sheen spokes. Apart from the other paint finishes, the matt paint finish AMG monza grey magno is exclusive for this edition.
The interior of the Exclusive Edition is loaded with two-tone, leather-lined dashboard and AMG sport seats with two-tone leather upholstery. The Seat Comfort package including multi-contour seats and seat climatisation for the driver and front passenger are also on board.
The special edition of the G-Class will be significantly costlier than the regular G 63 which is priced over Rs 2 crore in India.
