Mercedes-Benz CLA Urban Sport launched at Rs 35.99 lakh; boasts an array of features

In line with the trend of bringing special edition models during festive months in India to increase sales, Mercedes-Benz India has launched Urban Sport edition for its CLA sedan. The German carmaker offers the Urban Sport edition in two variants, CLA 200 (petrol) at Rs 35.99 lakh and CLA 200 d (diesel) at 36.99 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Mercedes-Benz CLA Urban Sport is essentially a feature-packed version and there are no major changes to the design. The Urban Sport edition boasts unique 'Cosmos Black' exterior paint shade. Carbon-style rear spoiler, 'Sport' branded floor mats, illuminated door sills and a 'Sport' badge are other additions.

The interior gets Thermotronic automatic climate control with 2 climate zones. It offers individual temperature, airflow and air distribution for driver and front passenger. The cabin also gets rear centre vents.

Mercedes-Benz offers the CLA sedan in both diesel and petrol options. While petrol variant is powered by a 1,991cc mill that develops 184hp of power and 300Nm of torque, the 2,143cc diesel engine produces 136hp of power and 300Nm of torque.

The CLA petrol is capable of reaching 100kmph speed in 7.1 seconds with a top speed of 240kmph. While the diesel variant requires nine seconds and has a top speed of 220kmph.

Mercedes-Benz CLA range competes against the Audi A3 range in India.
