Mercedes-Benz India has announced that the company will launch the AMG C43 in India on December 14. The AMG C43, the 13th offering of the company in 2016 in India, is the third AMG product of the year after AMG GLE 43 Coupe and the AMG SLC 43.
To be positioned between Mercedes-Benz C 200 and the eccentric AMG C 63 S, the AMG C43 will draw power from a 3.0L V6 biturbo, which can churn out 357bhp at 5500-6000 rpm and torque of 521Nm at 2000-4000 rpm. Mercedes AMG C43 can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 4.7 seconds before attaining a top speed of 250 kmph. The transmission in the sedan will be taken care of by a 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic and will come with AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.
The sedan will feature AMG RIDE CONTROL Sport suspension, electronically controlled shock absorbers with 3-stage variable damping and AMG DYNAMIC SELECT with five drive modes -- Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual.
Recently, German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz launched the updated CLA sedan in India for a starting price of Rs 31.40 lakh for or the CLA 200 Style diesel. The facelift of the CLA came after two years and features changes both inside and outside. The sedan is available in petrol and diesel mills. While the 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine churns out 181bhp 300Nm of torque, the 2.2-litre turbocharged four cylinder diesel mill makes 134bhp of power and 300Nm of peak torque. Both engines are mated to a seven-speed gearbox. It also gets Mercedes Dynamic Select System with a choice of drive modes.
