Mercedes-AMG took the wraps off its newest addition to the C-Class family -- the C 43 Coupe. The coupe version of the C-Class comes with the familiar face of Mercedes-Benz car that sports distinctive air intakes. The diamond radiator grille features chrome-plated pins and chrome front splitter has been fixed for easy flow of air.
The coupe also comes with ORVM caps in black colours, two chrome-plated tailpipes with centre divider and AMG five-spoke light-alloy wheels painted in high-gloss black with a high-sheen finish. The interior largely remains similar to the regular C-Class models, except the steering wheel with flattened bottom section and red contrasting topstitching. The upholstery is finished in ARTICO man-made leather or DINAMICA microfibre in black with red topstitching.
The C 43 Coupe is powered by 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo petrol engine that develops 362bhp of maximum power and peak torque of 520Nm mated to 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. The coupe sprints from 0 to 100kmph in 4.7 seconds before gaining top speed of electronically limited at 250 kmph. The coupe also features AMG-spec 4MATIC all-wheel drive.
Being an AMG-spec model, the C 43 Coupe comes with RIDE CONTROL sports suspension with adaptive variable damping in three stages. The mode can be selected via a button. AMG DYNAMIC SELECT switch is also part of the coupe that allows the selection of five drive modes.
The C 43 Coupe will have its public unveiling at Geneva Motor Show starting March 3.
