Meizu is joining its Chinese rivals in India this month as it teased an image on Twitter hinting at a new product launch on 18 May. There isn't much that can be unraveled from the cryptic teaser, but its witty dig at Xiaomi suggests the tech firm will be entering India's booming budget smartphone market.
The handset itself bears close resemblence to iPhone 5C with a similar structure and colour tone. But it can be a good addition to the competitive budget smartphone market, which is being ruled by Xiaomi, Lenovo and others. The Meizu M1 Note specs are quite impressive, which can give its rivals a run for their money.

Display: Meizu M1 Note features quite a large display, true to its name. The handset boasts of a 5.5-inch IGZO display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution.
Camera: The camera is quite impressive. The primary camera equips a 13-megapixel sensor with 5-element f/2.2 aperture lens and a LED flash. On the front side, there's a 5-megapixel shooter that should deliver great selfies.
Processor: Meizu M1 is powered by an octa-core Cortex A53 Mediatek MT6752 processor clocking speeds at 1.7GHz. The processor is coupled with Mali T760 MP2 GPU that is responsible for the graphics.
RAM and Storage: To support the processor on board, Meizu M1 Note sports a 2GB RAM and comes with 8/16GB internal space. The storage can further be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
Battery: Having great specs but low battery is usually a turn off for many smartphone users. Meizu M1 Note doesn't disappoint you with its massive 3,140mAh battery that is equipped to deliver up to 40 hours of talk time and 60 hours of music play.
Price: If the features prompt you to think that the device would come for a high price, Meizu is likely to prove you wrong. The M1 Note competes with budget smartphones from those of Xiaomi and Lenovo and so expected to be launched for about Rs 13,800. Buyers can choose from White, Blue, Green, Yellow and Pink colour variants.
