Looks like Meghan Markle's father Thomas Markle is on a ranting spree. The former lighting director has said that he is really hurt as Meghan has cut off all the ties with him post her wedding to Prince Harry. He also accused the royal family of creating distance between them. A deeply distressed Markle Sr is worried that he might never see his grandchildren due to this ongoing rift.
"The men in my family rarely live over 80 so I'd be surprised if I had another ten years. I could die tomorrow. Perhaps it would be easier for Meghan if I died. Everybody would be filled with sympathy for her. But I hope we reconcile. I'd hate to die without speaking to Meghan again," Thomas Markle said in a nine-hour-long interview to The Mail.
Markle Sr has been in the midst of controversy ever since Meghan and Harry started dating. He was accused of staging fake paparazzi, revealing the political opinion of Prince Harry and of course, criticising Queen for meeting Trump. Well, the list doesn't end there.
In the interview, the 74-year old created another trouble for himself and Meghan too after dragging in Princess Diana's name. He opined that Harry's mother Diana would have hated the way the royal family has treated him and also added that Meghan will following the late Princess' footsteps in modernising the royal family. "Princess Diana is credited with changing the Royal Family, but she wasn't perfect. She was still very much one of them. I think Meghan's the one who'll bring them into the 21st Century if they'll let her," he said.
Markle Sr also accused Meghan of forgetting him and crediting her mother Doria for all the support and care she received. "When Meghan was 11, she moved back in with me up until she was 17 and went to college. I was having my good years then, making good money, and could afford to give her the best, with a good school, good education, good home. She became the woman that she is today thanks to everything I did for her. And did I get any recognition for it? Any thanks? She doesn't even speak to me now. How cold is that?" he questioned.
Apparently, the royal family is truly unhappy with Markle Sr's comments on Princess Diana and more. With this never-ending accusations, it looks like Meghan is in dell trouble ahead.
