Meghan Markle fans will miss having Rachel Zane in Suits season 8 following her wedding to Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sussex ended her acting career and left the USA Network show on the heels of her engagement announcement.
While the world prepares to watch a season sans Rachel and Mike, the former Suits starlet is turning heads with her impeccable style statements. She recently made an appearance with her husband, Duke of Sussex, in London wearing a $1,085 trench dress.
Queen Elizabeth II's granddaughter-in-law stepped out with Harry to visit the Nelson Mandela Centenary Exhibition and meet Mandela's granddaughter in London on Tuesday on his 100th birth anniversary. She donned a chic, pale pink trench dress designed by the Canadian label House of Nonie.
The sleeveless outfit featured double-breasted buttons and a tie-waist belt. She held on to a Mulberry clutch that matched the colour of her outfit. She paired it up with matching Dior heels for the event and had her her styled into a classic messy bun.
"Seeing Meghan Markle wear the NONIE Trench Dress today with such elegance and grace is beyond exciting! Her continuous support of Canadian brands is remarkable, and it is a true honour to be the first Canadian based ready-to-wear designer she has worn since her wedding earlier this year," Kharey told People magazine.
While we love seeing Meghan busying travelling and attending royal engagements in stunning outfits, we'll definitely miss her on Suits. The former actress' exit was played out in season 7 after Rachel and Mike married and relocated to Seattle.
According to reviews, the new addition and changes to Suits (addition of Kathrine Heigl and a few plot changes) bring a new life into the show but the recurring cast does feel the vacuum of Markle and Patrick J Adams on the sets.
"We really miss them, but the show feels like they're still there in a lot of ways [because] we invoke their characters a lot. They're totally woven into the fabric of who our characters are [and inform] the choices that we make. So, their presence was really felt," Sarah Rafferty, who plays Donna, told Entertainment Weekly.
Suits season 8 airs on July 18 at 9 p.m. ET on USA Network.
