The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, recently took a short trip to Toronto to meet her best friend Jessica Mulroney.
According to ABC, Meghan, 37, secretly flew to Toronto for three days to meet Jessica and a few other old friends, without the company of Prince Harry.
"Meghan spent three days holed up at Jessica Mulroney and her husband Ben's home in Toronto. They spent their days catching up, cooking together and, of course, playing with Jessica's children, who love their Auntie Meg," shared the news agency in Good Morning America.
The duo had met while Meghan lived in Toronto for filming Suits. "There was one evening when Meghan and Jessica secretly headed out into the town to meet some of Meghan's old, good friends."
This was the first time the former actress took a vacation after her wedding and starting her duties as a member of the Royal family. According to HollywoodLife, the newly married couple have been having marital problems and this trip could be Meghan's break from all the recent drama she faced because of her father Thomas Markle.
Thomas has been giving paid interviews to the press and talking ill not only about his daughter but also how the royal family has mistreated him and kept him at bay.
As for Meghan and Jessica, they've stayed close through thick and thin. Jessica and her family played an important role in Meghan's wedding earlier this year. The style consultant assisted Meghan in planning the royal wedding.
Jessica and her husband sat in the front row of the aisle across the royal family. Jessica's daughter Ivy was a bridesmaid at the wedding and her twins Brian and John served as page boys at the wedding.
