An Intelligence Bureau inspector was kidnapped and killed by armed militants in South Garo hills district of Meghalaya, said reports,
Inspector Bikash Singh, who was abducted along with a cloth merchant, was found dead on Friday, according to officials. Singh was newly recruited as Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) in Meghalaya.
However, there is no information regarding the Assam-based trader, who was identified as Kamal Saha.
Achick Songa An'pachakgipa Kotok, which is a break-away faction of Achik National Volunteer Council, is suspected to be behind the incident.
