After a short break, South Indian actress Meera Nandan has returned to the world of acting with the upcoming Malayalam movie "Gold Coins." The film is being helmed by debutant Pramod.
The actress has also shared a photo from the shooting location in Cherthala on her Facebook page, saying: "‪#‎Goldcoins a movie Goethe children!! ‪#‎backtomovies ‪#‎malayalam ‪#‎malayalee This is a scene which is seldom seen'!! #‎lovingit ‪#‎instapic ‪#‎shootlife ‪#‎missedthis ‪#‎kidslove ‪#‎picoftheday (sic)."
"Gold Coins" is a children's movie with many kids playing the lead roles. Meera portrays the role of a teacher named Smriti in it. The movie doesn't have any male protagonist and Sai Kumar and many other veteran actors are seen in pivotal roles in the flick.
"I was very confused about selecting this movie. The makers called me again and again, mailed the script and even met me personally. After reading the script, I understood it as a very good childrens' movie and am sure "Gold Coins" will be an appreciated film if it is taken well," Meera told International Business Times, India.
Meanwhile, Meera also told IBTimes, India, about another movie in her kitty that stars Narain in the lead role. The actress will again play the role of a teacher in the movie, titled "Angane Thanne Nethave Anjettannam Pinnaale," which is the debut directorial venture of Ajit Poojapura. The movie is set in a fictional village where people are not aware of politics at all. The movie will go on floors on Feb. 22 in Palakkad.
While Meera was last seen in the 2014 movie "Mylanchi Monchulla Veedu," Narain's previous movie was "Njangalude Veettile Athidhikal," released in the same year. The actress is also working as a radio jockey with RED 94.7 FM in Dubai.
