Indian tennis legend Jaidip Mukherjee has urged media to show interest in covering tennis.
In an interview, Jaidip says, "It's completely unfair to give all the interest in cricket. It is also an international game and all across the globe you can find tennis lovers and players. Wimbledon is always a viewer's delight. In my point of view, Indian media should be more careful about this game also."
Speaking about Indian talent in the game, he says there are lots of new good players like Ramkumar Ramanathan in the circuit. There are also some South Indian boys playing very well.
Jaidip mentions that tennis is a game of strength, and physical structure matters a lot.
The legendary tennis player identifies the problems that Indian players face in comparison to their opponent in the game that, geographically "we Indians are not that good in physic."
"With a proper guidance and training and of course a deep interest from their own these boys can make our tennis proud," he says.
