MBC releases trailer of upcoming reality show, 'Idol Chef King'

Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation, one of the popular South Korean broadcasting networks, has released the first trailer of its upcoming reality show, "Idol Chef King".

The 30-second sneak peek video begins with the introduction of celebrity participants, including EXO member Baekhyun and BTS singer Jin. It also provides a glimpse of the preliminary competition, in which the candidates had to complete a task on time. While the clip shows some of the participants struggling to finish their tasks, others are seen laughing at their mistakes.

"Dad! Where Are We Going?" fame Kim Sung-joo will be the main host while celebrity chefs Lee Yeon Bok, Kim So Hee and Hong Suk Chun will be the judges of "Idol Chef King." 

The programme aims at showcasing the cooking ability of over 200 celebrity participants from 62 groups, who were selected through a cooking competition organised by MBC in August. The show will feature young Korean heartthrobs from EXO, BTS, VIXX, AOA, TWICE, BTOB, NCT 127, Hello Venus, Levlyz, Oh My Girl and other popular groups.

The reality cooking show is scheduled to premiere on MBC next Thursday, 14 Sept.. at 6.15pm KST. Watch the trailer of "Idol Chef King" here.
