Alia played the role of an aspiring film-maker in Dear Zindagi, but the real challenge was to bring out the complexities that were associated with the character. Alia received positive response from most of the critics and she has again been applauded for her brilliant performance in Gauri Shinde's directorial Dear Zindagi.
After making her debut in Karan Johar's Student of the Year, Alia has proved her acting prowess multiple times. She has appeared as a risk-taker when it comes to her movies. The young actress has been taking up varied kind of roles that any other actress of her age or experience been hardly seen doing.
While she has been playing light characters in films like 2 States and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, she stunned all with her brilliant portrayal of intense characters that she had played in movies like Highway and Udta Punjab.
The 23-year-old diva has been raising the bar for most of her contemporaries and even for many senior actresses in the industry with her versatility. Although Alia has never been put into the category of Bollywood's hottest divas, she has certainly created a niche for herself as one of the most successful B-Town actresses, and the credit mostly goes to her acting skills.
