Max Fashion celebrated World Environment Day in association with Goonj NGO by collecting old fashion apparels across Bangalore. In light of the second innings of 'Share Fashion Share Smiles' initiative, customers and Employees contributed their old clothes at various Max stores across the city. The initiative concluded at VR Bengaluru on Friday, with actress Shruthi Hariharan and the entire cast and crew of movie "'Tora Tora" coming together to pledge their allegiance for a greener planet.
Speaking on the occasion, Anil Chinnabhandar, Senior Vice President, Max Fashion, said: "The idea is to give back to society and make a change in our country. We saw the disparity of resource availability where we live, but we also recognized how a little gesture of aid can go a long way. Today, I feel proud to announce that our initiative with Goonj has culminated successfully with the collection of ten thousand garments. The collected clothes will not just be re-worn, in fact, the unusable and small pieces of clothes will further be reused and recycled under initiatives like 'Green by Goonj'."
Shruthi Hariharan, who was present on the occasion, further stated: "I totally believe in sharing, as sharing is caring! It was enthralling to see people coming in huge numbers and helping their fellow humans. It feels great to see the zeal is still alive in people and it has been incredible to be a part of something so valuable."

Customers who shared clothes were gifted saplings on World Environment Day for their contribution.
Max gave out more than 2,000 saplings across the city. Max has always taken a step forward towards environment sustainability.
They have been doing various activities across cities that benefits the society like upcycling and craft workshop.
At the Max Kids Festival the kids learned to create waste bins out of plastic bottles.
